We are now seeking nominations for the CIMA Management Accounting Awards 2009. This is the opportunity for CIMA members and students to showcase their achievements during the past 12 months, with the hope of being recognised as one of business’s best individuals, teams or organisations.
Winners will receive their award at a prestigious London event in front of hundreds of peers and industry leaders. All winners will be listed in Financial Management magazine and will receive a winner’s logo to use on promotional material and in CVs to help promote their success.
The CIMA Management Accounting Awards acknowledge excellence in management accounting and celebrate the success of people who are leading the way in the profession. The 12 categories have been created to recognise the determination and dedication of people, teams and organisations who deliver results that promote and develop management accountancy.
New in 2009 is a category to recognise the team that has most successfully implemented a business intelligence project. ‘Unlocking business intelligence’ will showcase projects that have provided better management information and supported evidence based decision making, enabling a significant improvement in an organisation’s performance.

- Tutor of the year
- Part qualified of the year
- Finance team of the year – public sector
- Finance team of the year – private sector
- Recruitment consultancy of the year
- Responsible business
- Innovation in management accounting
- Unlocking business intelligence
- Medium sized employer of the year - under 5,000 employees
- Large employer of the year - over 5,000 employees
- Outstanding contribution to business performance by a CIMA member
