Responsible business

Business trust: a critical time

CIMA convened high-powered experts from organisations including Man Group plc, the Institute of Business Ethics and Warner Bros to discuss the future of business ethics in today's unprecedented economic climate. 'Business trust: a critical time' (PDF 825KB) describes the valuable insights that emerged.

Latest audiocast: navigating ethical challenges

Find out how to approach an ethical dilemma from Danielle Cohen, CIMA's Ethics Manager and Nina Barakzai, FCMA in the latest audiocast from the responsible business dialogues. Listen now.

Is whistleblowing working?

CIMA challenged the experts at Public Concern at Work, the independent whistleblowing charity, to answer this and other tricky questions in this responsible business webcast.

Webcasts on a variety of other topics are also available.

Is global ethics a myth?

Sparks flew at CIMA's first global ethics debate, when some of the most prominent business and media figures from the UK and the world leading ethics experts went head to head to discuss the question: 'is global ethics a myth?'.

Malaysia debates ethics in a downturn

CIMA Malaysia and the Malaysian Institute of Integrity joined forces to explore this issue in Kuala Lumpur earlier this year. CIMA immediate Past President Glynn Lowth and the Divisional President of CIMA Malaysia, Chandra Mohan Balasubramaniam, joined panellists from the Malaysia Minority Shareholder Watchdog Group and Telekom Malaysia Berhad to discuss the question 'is ethics the first casualty of the downturn?'. For further information contact the Malaysia office.

Managing responsible business

This CIMA survey  (PDF 2MB), carried out with the Institute of Business Ethics in 2008, explored how companies are managing their ethical performance and how this will affect the finance function.
