Following the successful pilot of CIMA’s online community network,
CIMAsphere will be launched to the public at the
CIMA World Conference on 13 July. CIMA president, Aubrey Joachim, will be blogging from the conference and there will be discussion threads where delegates can contribute their views on the days’ events. Those not able to attend the conference will also be able to view the discussions and join in.
CIMA members and students can already access CIMAsphere during the pilot phase using their CIMA ID and password. Once the site is open to the public, anyone will be able view and join the community.
The pilot phase has been very successful and the community has grown to over 6,000 participants from around the world.
Range of experts
There is a wide variety of topics being discussed. Some of the most popular have been on careers, professional development and study advice. Anyone can start a group, and it’s a great way to meet with like-minded people to discuss topics of interest. A range of CIMA experts are also blogging on the site.
We have scheduled some interesting activities to celebrate the launch of the community to the public, so please log in and participate during the week commencing 13 July.
In addition to the special activities planned for the World Conference, we have set up a live Q&A session with Clive Davis of Robert Half UK to give advice on the job market and how to stand out from the crowd.
We also have a live Q&A session with Howard Ebison, recent candidate on BBC TV show The Apprentice and a CIMA student. You will be able to submit questions in advance to both Clive and Howard, who will answer your questions on the day.
CIMA would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the pilot phase of CIMAsphere for their contributions to the development of the community during the pilot - thanks for making it such a lively and informative environment.
