Bitesize Briefing: ‘Building a world class finance function’

January 2009

What enables an organisation to achieve an excellent level of financial management?

Building a  world class finance function is a challenge for every organisation and every finance professional.  There is constant pressure on CFO's and their finance teams to reduce costs, increase quality, provide valued decision support and better align corporate responsibilities, both within the finance function and between finance and other functions of the organisation.  Join us on 23rd February when Aubrey Joachim, FCMA, Principal Consultant, Leading Edge Change and Deputy President CIMA, will tell us how this can be achieved. Drawing on his 30 years of accounting experience with global conglomerates including Unilever, he will reveal the key requirements to building a world class finance function.

Speaker

Aubrey Joachim, FCMA, Principal Consultant Leading Edge Change

Aubrey has over 30 years of financial and management accounting experience with global conglomerates including Unilever and McDerott International and has worked in Sri Lanka, the Middle East, London and Singapore prior to migrating to Australia in 1993. His experience includes all aspects of financial accounting, management accounting and financial management, including implementing leading edge corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.  Aubrey presents at financial and management conferences and conducts training seminars in Australia, New Zealand, Dubai and London. Aubrey is Deputy President, CIMA and represents Australasia on the Governing Council of CIMA.
