Becoming a CIMA member is not only a matter of passing the exams. You also need to demonstrate that you have a minimum of three years’ relevant practical experience before you can call yourself a Chartered Management Accountant or use the letters ACMA after your name.

Due diligence: the basics of running the rule over a business purchase
As well as the ‘looking at the books’ financial aspects, due diligence covers legal, commercial and operational reviews of a company to enable prospective buyers to get a better understanding of its target.
