The CIMA Higher Apprenticeship in Management Accounting

CIMA, together with BPP and a network of employers and educational partners, has created the first ever Higher Apprenticeship in Management Accounting.

Through the apprenticeship, businesses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are able to employ talented, young, driven individuals who have completed their A levels and train them with skills businesses need whilst they are studying for the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting qualification.

Training apprentices can be more cost effective than hiring skilled staff, leading to lower overall training and recruitment costs. Apprentices tend to be eager, motivated, flexible and loyal to the company that invested in them. What’s more, the government funds up to 100% of the training costs.

To underline its commitment to the apprenticeship cause, the UK government has dedicated significant funding, investing GBP250 million over five years to create 50,000 Apprenticeship places by 2015.

The CIMA Technical Apprenticeship in Management Accounting

Following the successful launch of the Higher Apprenticeship qualification in England, CIMA has created the first ever Technical Apprenticeship in Management Accounting in Scotland. Accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), this provides a fantastic non-university route into the world of business and finance for talented individuals.
