End of year address from the ARB Chairperson
The Chair of the Australasia Regional Board, Adrian Fernando ACMA, CGMA, has written a letter (PDF 65KB) to all members and students detailing our progress over 2012.
CIMA council elections
CIMA’s council position terms expire at the June 2013 annual general meeting in London. Elections for council positions will be held in February 2013 and FCMAs are invited to apply for nomination to the area 19 vacant position.

New Australasian newsletter launched
CIMA have prepared a newsletter called Australasia Voice to ensure members and students in the region are kept informed of the activities that CIMA is undertaking to support our strategic goals. Read the first edition (PDF 2MB) of this newsletter, which will be sent to members and students twice annually.
CIMA establishes Australasian centre of excellence
CIMA has established a new centre of excellence (COE) for Australasia in Sydney to engage innovative research being undertaken in the local region. The COE will collaborate with universities, the public sector and key industry players in this region to ensure the areas of research and related outputs are market driven and relevant.
Outputs will include research reports and cutting edge tools and techniques that will address issues raised by the industry. These solutions will be vital in guiding critical business decisions and driving strong performance in financial and operational reality.

Australasia regional board formed
The New Zealand executive committee has merged with the Australian executive committee to form the Australasia regional board. Find information on the new board.

CIMA New Zealand 2010/11 objectives
CIMA has released a summary of the objectives which the NEC agreed at a national level for CIMA New Zealand in 2010/11.
Our mission is to build the profile of CIMA and management accounting in New Zealand, while continuing to support our members and students.
