Continuing professional development is common in the majority of professional sectors, and is a standard feature of all the major accounting bodies in the UK and internationally.
CIMA professional development, the CPD scheme for CIMA members, has been applicable since January 2006. It was introduced to demonstrate CIMA's commitment to lifelong learning following increased scrutiny of our profession. It helps members formalise their development and demonstrate their professional competence and ethical awareness.
