Getting the CGMA designation

Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA designation) is the global designation for management accountants.

It’s powered by the resources and expertise of AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and CIMA, two of the world’s leading accounting organisations, to elevate the profession of management accounting.

The global designation adds power to your CV, demonstrating your business acumen, ethics and commitment.

How do I get the CGMA designation?

As a CIMA member, you automatically qualify for the new designation.* You can use the letters CGMA after your name as soon as you qualify as an ACMA.

The CGMA designation extends the global reach of your recognition as a chartered management accountant. You remain a CIMA member as well, with all the benefits of CIMA membership.

The joint venture

The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants is a joint venture of AICPA and CIMA, establishing the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation to elevate the profession of management accounting globally.
