A two day workshop on speed reading.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information you need to process, think you don't have enough time to get through the amount you have to read or just want to be a faster, better reader, this course on '>spd rdng' (or speed reading) is for you.

• read between two and five times faster typically (speed reading)
• understand more written material in less time (typically about ten times more)
• increase your concentration and comprehension
• deal with large quantities of material easily
• improve your reading retention rate
• take effective notes with mindmaps and rhizomaps
• process four books in 75 minutes using syntopic processing.

The speaker will be drawn from a pool of subject specialists who are qualified professionals. Having worked for leading organisations they will bring their subject to life by relating the course content to real life case studies.

This two-day programme will greatly improve your reading speed to increase your efficiency and effectiveness at work. You will learn 37 speed reading techniques and strategies, any one of which individually will impact on your professional performance and, when combined, will give you the skills to deal efficiently with written materials, including books, journals, emails, reports, contracts, etc. During the course, you will process six books on factual topics of your choosing. You will benefit most if you bring materials you genuinely need to work through, and indeed, many people use the course as an opportunity to complete a work project. Our unique accelerated learning approach allows you to acquire the techniques with ease, and adequate practice is provided during the course to enable you to use everything you learn immediately in the workplace.

The course starts at 9.30am and ends at 5.00pm on both days. Lunch and refreshments are included.

12 CPD hours (where applicable)

Please bring six books with you, four of which should be related to a topic on which you would like to work and which you will be able to use to complete one task (eg plan a presentation or report, get an overview of a new subject, etc) plus two others on any factual topic.
