The Combined Code ' how was it for you?

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is currently reviewing the implementation of the Combined Code on Corporate Governance. The Code was changed in 2003 and this year is the first time that listed companies have reported against it. The review focuses on what the FRC calls 'implementation issues' ' for example, the impact of the revised Code, the barriers to implementing it and whether the Code has had an impact on the level and quality of the dialogue between companies and boards.

CIMA will be responding and, as this review is all about the companies' experience of implementing the new Code, we would like to elicit views of CIMA members working in listed companies.

So if you have any views on how the Code is working in practice or if your company is preparing a response that you can share with us, please let us know. Sign in to My CIMA and you can submit your views the via the Consultations Database.

You can vist the FRC site for further information on the Combined Code http://www.frc.org.uk/
