From 17 January 2005, CIMA's career site will be provided in association with GAAPweb. GAAPweb will provide a portal that will allow CIMA members access to an unrivalled selection of jobs and employers.
Established in 1998, GAAPweb is recognised as the UK's leading specialist job site for finance and accountancy professionals. Having continued to enhance its service with the introduction of new products and site enhancements, GAAPweb's prominence in the online recruitment sector lends a high degree of compatibility to a partnership with such an established organisation as CIMA.
GAAPweb publishes more part-qualified accountancy vacancies than any other job site. CIMA members will not only have access to these jobs but will also be able to filter these roles by sector, region, salary and specific level of qualification. At the same time, GAAPweb's advertisers will now benefit from their jobs being seen by an additional source of high quality qualified and part-qualified CIMA candidates.
With over 700 jobs published daily, GAAPweb will provide CIMA members with specific market knowledge, an increased number of relevant vacancies and superior candidate service and editorial standards. These qualities are the reasons for GAAPweb's success and are indicative of a greater focus offered to finance professionals when they conduct career searches. GAAPweb is delighted that CIMA has recognised the advantages of working with a specialist job site and the significant benefits this will bring to its members and employers.
CIMA's Director of Brand Ray Perry, commenting on the solution, said, "CIMA is delighted to work with GAAPweb. CIMA's members and students are in hot demand with their sole focus on accounting and management in business. GAAPweb, as one of the leading financial job sites, will provide CIMA's members and students with access to a huge number of employment opportunities. This will assist them as they match their skills to future careers opportunities. CIMA is sure that this new relationship will fuel increased employability for its members and students, while providing employers with access to excellent management accountants."
GAAPweb Operations Director Rob Schofield explains, "It is fantastic news that such a significant institution as CIMA has recognised the pivotal role played by specialist job sites in providing its members with focused career search options. The GAAPweb team is extremely pleased to be able to apply its expert market knowledge to provide CIMA and its members with an effective and proven careers solution. I am also confident that this development will also be of benefit to advertisers whose vacancies will now be seen by an increased audience of finance professionals."
