Extreme Accountant takes his best shot at bringing down the deficit.

Arnold Chiswick and his crack team of Extreme Accountants battle it out.
On Sunday 19 June 2005, six crack teams of Extreme-Accountants from Cadbury Schweppes, BMI, Michael Page, Jaguar Land Rover, Warwickshire County Council and HSBC battled it out in the ultimate Extreme-Accounting Corporate Challenge.
Despite the sweltering heat, the accountants faced a number of challenges of skill and daring. They had to cope with accelerated depreciation while putting a Moon Buggy through its paces, use the High Low method whilst shooting clay pigeons, avoid negative yield curves in the Land Rover off-road trial and aim for a bull position in the Extreme-Archery contest. There was even a prize for the team that came up with the best (and most accurate) method for calculating depreciation on the Land Rovers used.
The winning team enjoyed a hair-raising circuit with the Russ Swift Mini Display Team including driving whilst balanced on two wheels. Russ Swift even admitted that it was probably a record for most accountants ever in a stunt car. Money raised was donated to the British Dyslexia Association.
Extreme-Accounting, sponsored by CODA and CIMA, is the latest form of physical (and fiscal) endeavour ' injecting, as it does, all the thrills and adrenaline rush of accounting into the otherwise mundane world of extreme sports.
