This week, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) further demonstrated its position as the leading professional accountancy body for accountants working within business.

Over 100 delegates, from among CIMA's Training Partners, gathered in London for the third CIMA Training Annual Conference sponsored by The Financial Training Company and totallyfinancial.com. The event brought together speakers from a range of industries to share best practice guidelines and training knowledge direct to employers.

The Conference also saw CIMA's new CPD employer accreditation scheme launched by Paul Weymouth, Head of Product Development and Learning Support. Commenting on the new scheme, he said:

'CIMA Development is an exciting initiative designed to really focus employers' attention on supporting and developing its finance professionals without duplicating the best practice that may already be going on. CPD is all about opportunity for CIMA members and their employers and this scheme means there is cradle to grave accreditation and support from pre to post qualification.'
