CIMA offers work experience placements to future finance leaders

11 October 2005

CIMA (The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) has joined forces with The Trident Trust, an established charity and the largest coordinator of work experience in the UK, to help place work experience students in finance related roles. The scheme will offer Year 10 and 11 students the opportunity to experience working with a CIMA Training Partner's finance team at the cutting edge of business decision making.

The placements are registered with Trident who will coordinate with schools to find suitable students, carry out health and safety checks and monitor the student on placement. The scheme will promote the importance of finding the right business minds to lead finance functions in the future.

Trident Trust Director, Sue Sutton, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be working with CIMA to provide students with worthwhile and stimulating work experience opportunities across the country. The Trident Trust has thirty years' history in providing young people with valuable workplace experiences and this collaboration with CIMA can only benefit students and the accountancy profession as a whole."
