The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) announced the launch of its 2005 awards (22 July), which includes the search for International Charitable Development and Public Sector Finance Team award winners.
International Charitable Development Award
This award will go to the CIMA member or firm who has made the greatest contribution to international development or humanitarian relief. Judges will be looking for evidence of innovative ways of improving efficiency and the effectiveness of financial management in the arena of international development or humanitarian relief.
Public Sector Finance Team of the Year
This award is the opportunity for public sector finance teams, whether large or small, to achieve recognition. Whether they have dramatically improved the service they offer to internal managers, or implemented an activity-based budgeting process, this award will celebrate the achievements of the public sector finance team that has worked hard and demonstrated how good financial management can drive successful business.
