CIMA appoints new Head of Learning Partnerships

05 October 2005

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) today announces the appointment of Ms Tam Kam Peng as its new Head of Learning Partnerships.

This new and exciting post within the Education Directorate means that Peng will have global responsibility for strengthening both existing links with tuition providers and building new tuition partnerships in CIMA's developing markets, primarily India and China.

In another first, Peng will be based at CIMA Malaysia Division in Kuala Lumpur but reporting directly into Robert Jelly, CIMA's Director of Education. Commenting on Peng's appointment he said,

'We are very excited that Peng is joining the team. She has a proven track record of accounting education and training, especially in non-UK markets. One of her first tasks will be to visit tuition providers in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India and Hong Kong where she will be listening to their ideas and concerns. Peng will be pivotal in ensuring closer working relationships that can only serve to improve the CIMA student learning experience and resulting pass rates in these key markets.'
