Accountants can be book worms too
17 November 2005
CIMA Publishing has begun publishing a range of books for professional accountants working in business. With so many new regulatory requirements placed upon accountants, these books just might help light their paths.
But don't take our word for it. Hazel Smith in the Business Accounting team at ASDA reviewed the new title on UK Accounting Standards:
'It's a good basic reference guide setting out the evolution of different accounting standards. The practical illustrations help clarify policy interpretations and demonstrate how other organisations apply the standards. The language is easy to understand and the examples easy to walk through to help readers develop their understanding.'
Robert Jelly, Director of Education at CIMA, said:
'As the only international accountancy body with a sole focus on accountants in business, CIMA has to be at the forefront of providing relevant support to finance professionals who find themselves with less and less time to do background reading. These titles are professional guides which go further than just reciting theory but go on to outline the issues surrounding implementation.'
The titles are published on behalf of CIMA by Elsevier, CIMA's official publishing partner. All published titles are available at http://www.cimapublishing.com/ or telephone +44 (0) 1865 474010.
