Become a quality partner

Quality partner accreditation is available for taught, distance learning and revision courses in Bahrain, Botswana, Ghana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, the UK, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Quality partner course providers benefit from:

  • formal recommendation of courses to students and employers
  • use of the CIMA quality partner logo
  • statistical data on student results
  • promotion of your open days and events on the CIMA website.

How to apply
Current quality partners must re-register every year in January. New applications are invited at any time, provided course providers have been Listed for at least two exams diets.

Course providers are assessed against the CIMA learning matrix. Read the CIMA learning matrix (PDF 367KB) to make sure you understand the standards and can provide evidence of the key performance indicators.

Please complete the online application form and give details of how the key performance indicators are met using the matrix summary template (Word DOC 116KB).

Course providers will be assessed through the evidence they submit and a visit by a CIMA Learning Assessor. Course providers are accredited for up to five years.

Multi site providers
As the CIMA learning scheme is output driven, each tuition centre will have to apply individually for recognition. Each tuition centre is assessed and accredited separately according to its ability to meet the knowledge performance indicators (KPIs) in the matrix.

Cost
There is an annual registration fee:

  • up to and including 100 students: GBP400 plus VAT
  • more than 100 students: GBP650 plus VAT.

Course providers outside the UK are not required to pay VAT. You will be invoiced once your application has been approved.

Monitoring
Interim assessments take place in years where no formal visit occurs. A CIMA learning assessor will contact you either by email or telephone.

Our CIMA learning assessors are academics from educational establishments in both the public and private sectors. They can give you feedback and guidance on your CIMA courses.

CIMA reserves the right to remove any provider from the CIMA learning scheme.
